FLU

If you are eligible for a free flu jab, this is now available at more than 50 participating pharmacies across Fife. Vaccination is by appointment only. Find details of your nearest participating pharmacy at www.nhsfife.org/flu 

Drop in flu vaccination clinic for Adults

NHS Fife is hosting a series of pop up/drop-in vaccination clinics across the region.

For eligible people registered at Park Road, Primrose Lane, Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay Practices a pop-up is planned for:

Appointments are not required but please bring your NHS flu letter with you.

Please be advised that you may have to wait to be seen.

Please wear a face covering and maintain 2meteres physical distancing.

Flu vaccinations are being done by NHS Fife. If you are entitled to a vaccination you will receive a letter with a number to call to arrange an appointment. These are not being done at the surgery and we have no immunisation staff at the surgery to respond to enquiries regarding flu vaccinations.

Coming to the Surgery

If you have been given an face - to - face  appointment at the surgery please note

  • You will only to allowed into the building 5 minutes before your appointment time
  • Only the person who has the appointment will be allowed in (if someone really cannot manage then they can be accompanied by one other person)
  • Please use the intercom at the door. The receptionists may be on the phone please be patient. 

If you have symptoms of COVID-19

If you've developed a new continuous cough and/or a fever/high temperature in the last 7 days, stay at home for 7 days from the start of your symptoms even if you think your symptoms are mild. Do not come to the surgery.

  • are severe or you have shortness of breath
  • worsen during home isolation
  • have not improved after 7 days

Wednesday 18th March

When ordering repeat prescriptions please specify a pharmacy to collect the prescription. We want to minimise the number of patients walking into the surgery. Please order online or use the repeat prescription box in the foyer.

All "fit notes" will be posted out to patients.

Tuesday 17th March

the walk-in baby clinics held at Park Road surgery have been cancelled 

Thursday, 6th February, 2020 - 12.30PM - 6.00PM

From 12.30PM - 6.00PM we will not have access to our computer system, as it is being upgraded.

We will be unable to issue repeat prescriptions, book or cancel appointments, give out tests results

Please only contact the practice during this time if you require urgent medical advice.

Patients with a pre-booked routine appointment, should attend their appointment, as planned. Thank you for your understanding and we will back up and running as normal from 8am, on Friday, 7th February

Wednesday 4th December 2019

From January the Health Visitors will no longer be running the walk-in baby clinic on Monday. Rosyth Health Centre in Park Road will be offering this clinic on a Wednesday between 10 - 11 am

Friday, 15th November 2019

Notice to our patients:

Between 2.00pm and 3.45pm today we will only be offering an urgent service. Please do not call the surgery during this period of time unless you need urgent medical advice. Normal service will resume from 3.45pm onwards. Thank you.

Wednesday 16th October 19

We are currently short of admin/reception staff. Please be patient. We are trying to keep up with demand but this is having at impact on the number of staff available to answer the phone at certain times. We are also experiencing problems with our phones which our provider is attempting to solve.

Wednesday 18th September 19

The first flu vaccination clinic is on Monday 7th October. Appointments are available to book - please contact reception. Check that you are eligible at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vaccinations/who-should-have-flu-vaccine

Tuesday 30/07/19

This time of year is registrar change over - This year Dr Faye McWilliam starts her year with us on the 9th August but Dr McLelland will still be with us until November

Tuesday 21/05/19

Tomorrow we are having a new telephone system installed. There will be some disruption to our phone service. Hopefully this will be limited to a few minutes of the phones being down but it may be longer or there may be unforeseen issues. Please be patient and, as always, if you are experiencing a genuine emergency phone 999. After the telephone system changes we will no longer have a fax machine.
